My friend Heather came to me recently (March, 2005) to ask if I could help her with a project. She's a college student, and as part of her final project in an education class, she was required to put together a "WebQuest."

We found the teacher's brief description of this teaching tool confusing, but an Internet search found a couple of sites that explain this concept clearly and provide good examples:

The project called for a quest that teaches basic hygiene skills to 3rd- and 4th-graders, but our finished product could be appropriate for older and younger pupils as well. Here is the Webquest we came up with:
